Make One Night of Your Vacation Truly Yours
You can make another restaurant reservation. Or you can make a memory.
- Imagine enjoying a drink together while your chef prepares dinner. There’s no searching for parking, waiting for your table, crowded dining room competing for your attention, or watching the clock.
- Just a beautifully prepared meal enjoyed privately in the comfort of your vacation rental.
- Because sometimes the best nights out happen when you stay in.
More Than a Meal. An Experience for Two.
A private chef changes the whole rhythm of the evening. There’s nowhere you need to get to, nobody waiting to turn your table, and no reason for the evening to end when dinner does.
Your Space
Enjoy dinner somewhere that already feels private and personal — your vacation rental.
Your Pace
Pour another glass. Take your time. Enjoy the conversation.
Your Experience
Discover a chef and dining style that feels right for the two of you.
Your Night
No restaurant full of strangers. This one’s yours.
Your Perfect Evening
Picture Your Evening
You’ve spent the day at the beach. There’s no rush to get showered, dressed, and out the door for a reservation.
Instead, you’re back at your vacation rental. Music is playing. Drinks are poured. Your chef is taking care of dinner.
You talk. You laugh. You eat. You take your time.
And when dinner is over? You’re already home. That’s a ChefCation.
What Are You Celebrating?
Whether there’s a big reason to celebrate or you simply want to make one night of your vacation special, a ChefCation gives you an experience that’s completely your own.
Anniversary
Make this year’s anniversary dinner one you’ll remember long after the vacation is over.
Honeymoon
The wedding may be over, but the celebrating doesn’t have to be.
Proposal
Some questions deserve more than a crowded restaurant. Create a private setting where the evening can unfold your way.
Birthday
Skip the usual birthday reservation and make this year’s dinner feel completely personal.
Just Because
You don’t actually need an occasion. Sometimes being away together is reason enough.

Keep This Between Us
Planning a Surprise? Even Better.
Some of the best ChefCations start with one person knowing what’s happening… and the other having absolutely no idea.
If you’re planning an anniversary surprise, birthday dinner, proposal, or another special moment, tell us what you have in mind when making your request. Then find a chef who can help make dinner part of the surprise.
Questions Before Your Private Dinner?
Can we customize our menu?
Yes. Chefs on ChefCations build the menu with you rather than handing you a fixed card. You’ll talk through courses, favorites and anything you’d rather skip before your chef shops. Many chefs also publish sample menus on their profile, so you can see their style before you request a date.
Can you accommodate dietary preferences or allergies?
Share any allergies and dietary needs during menu planning so they can be designed into the menu before your chef shops. Vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-carb and nut-conscious menus are all commonly accommodated. One important note: cooking happens in your rental’s kitchen rather than a dedicated allergen-free facility, so cross-contact can’t be completely eliminated. Each chef’s full allergy policy is listed on their profile.
Does the chef provide the ingredients?
Your chef does. They bring fresh, locally sourced ingredients along with all cooking equipment and serving ware. You don’t need to shop, prep or supply anything beyond the kitchen itself.
What does our vacation rental need?
A standard vacation rental kitchen is all it takes. Chefs typically ask for a working stove and oven, refrigerator space for prep, a table and seating, trash access and parking for one vehicle. A few grill-based experiences also want outdoor grill space, which is noted on those chefs’ profiles.
Can I arrange the dinner as a surprise?
Absolutely. Mention it when you make your request and your chef will coordinate arrival, setup and timing with you directly, so the evening unfolds the way you planned it.
Can a chef help with an anniversary or proposal?
Yes. Tell your chef what you’re celebrating when you make your request. Many are glad to time a course around a moment, plate a dessert to mark the occasion, or simply stay out of the way at exactly the right time.
What happens after dinner?
Setup and full cleanup are included. Your chef leaves the kitchen as they found it, so the evening keeps going for the two of you instead of ending in a sink full of dishes.
How far in advance should we book?
Most chefs ask for about 5 to 10 days’ notice, and each lists their own minimum on their profile. Peak vacation weeks and holidays fill up sooner, so the earlier you request, the more chefs you’ll have to choose from.
